Recreationland.Net’s 2007 annual fishing trip is taking place June 23  to the 28th, 2007  at Mousseau’s Island Lodge at STURGEON LAKE.. North of Ignace, Ontario.

On this trip we can accomodate 18 people.

ANNUAL FISHING TRIP FOR YEAR 2007

WHEN ? Saturday , June 23 to Thursday , June 28

WHERE ? Mousseau’s Island Lodge on Mousseau Island in the northeast arm of the lake

LAKE ? Sturgeon Lake. . Sturgeon Lake is a large body of water with many islands. Lake is over 40 miles long and is a deep lake.

COST ? TOTAL $450 Cdn ($350 for sleeping accomodations and boat , motors and gas+ $100 for food and bait)

DEPOSIT ? $100

DEPOSIT DATE ? To be included must have deposit by Jan 30 at the latest

WHO DO YOU PAY ? You can pay the deposit by cash or cheque. .Cheques can be made to "Mousseau’s Island Lodge". The balance of the $250 can be paid in advance or when you get to Thunder Bay. Can be paid by cheque or cash.

The $100 for food and bait has to be paid at least 2 weeks prior to the fishing trip so that we can buy all the food. This can be sent or given to Elio .

FISH SPECIES ? Sturgeon Lake is well known as one of the premier Walleye, Northern Pike and Lake Trout lakes in Ontario. Other fish found in the lake include Herring, Whitefish and Perch.

DIRECTIONS TO THE LAKE

From Thunder Bay, drive west to Ignace (approx 2 ½ hours). At Ignace go north on Hwy 599 for 70 miles and turn right on the Anglers Cove road to the landing. Art Mousseau will pick us up and then it is an 18 mile boat ride to the island. The ride to the island is spectacular. Some of the best scenery you will ever see anywhere.
