The Porcupine River flows through the southwest corner of this property.
The property has over 190 meters (over 620 feet) of frontage on the east shore beautiful Porcupine River.

The Porcupine River averages about 80 feet wide along the property and the depth of the river ranges from 5 feet to 10 feet deep depending on where you are at on the river.
You can boat on this river for at least 20 kilometers and more.

A small portion of property that is just under 1 acre in side is no the west shore of the river.
The rest of the property is on the east side of the river.

The mature timber was harvested in 1999, just 18 years ago and the new growth is now 18 years old and whatever was too small to harvest in 1999 is now of course 18 years older.

The trees on the property are mostly Poplar trees together with a mix of Spruce trees and Balsam Trees.

The property is composed of mainly high ground with a swampy area on the east portion of the property and GUESS WHERE ALL THE MOOSE ARE?
The east portion of the property or course where it is a little swampy!

Crown land borders the property on the south side and on the west side.

Since Matheson Township is ORGANIZED and the property does not front on a municipally maintained road or on any road then you are limited on what you can build here.
You can build a HUNT CABIN which can be no larger than 500 square feet.

There are no services to this property so you will have to go green.
When you build your cabin wire your cabin for generator and solar.

ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY
There are two ways to get to this fine property;
One way is via water access and the other way is via an ATV or ARGO trail.
By water it is about a 3.3 kilometers (2 miles) boat ride.
By ATV/ARGO it is about a 3.5 kilometers ($2.2 miles) ride.

Like fishing?
You can fish the Porcupine River for Northern Pike and Walleye (Pickeral) and then the closest lake is the Dugwal Pit Lake where according to the “Fish and Bullet” web site that the Species Caught Dugwal Pit Lake are Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Largemouth Bass.
There are numerous smaller lakes close by where you can do more fishing.

Like Hunting?
As we mentioned in the story there is a swamp on the east portion of the property and that is where the moose like to hang out.
If you are a bear hunter then you will also like this property as there are plenty of them to go around.
The small game hunting is also very good in this area.
