The Township is an unorganized township north of the City of Timmins Ontario and south of the Town of Smooth Rock Falls. The Township is bordered on the west by the famous Mattagami River and on the east by Highway 655. The property was granted to the present owner’s great grandfather at the turn of the 20th century as a veteran of the Great Fenian Raids in the mid 1860’s. There appears to be a an old timber road that would come very close to the eastery line of the property. Hunting in this area is good. Hunt for small game, moose and black bear. The Wildlife Management Unit the property is located in is WMU 30. Fishing in the area is very good. Fish the Mattagami River for Northern Pike, Walleye and in some areas bass. There are many area lakes that are just teeming with fish waiting to be caught. Ice fishing in the area lakes is also very good. This is snowmobile country. There are good groomed trails throughout the entire district. This the first time this property has been offered for sale in over 100 years. Who knows, maybe the next buyer/owner will keep it in their family for another 100 years.
