Lac Seul is huge!
It is the second largest body of water entirely in Ontario. It is roughly 241 kms.(150 miles) in length with a surface area of 1657 sq. kms.(640 sq. miles). It has a regulated max. depth of 47.2 meters(154.8) feet. Because of its tea stained color there is no bad time to go fishing, they feed all day long.
Fish for trophy walleyes, northern pike and muskies in the 50" range. Small mouth bass and lake trout are also available.
Moose hunting is also quite good in the area.. If you wish you can hire one of the many local outfitters to take you to that hunt of your dreams. You are in the middle of 3 Wildlife Management Units consisting of WMU's 3, 4 and 5.
The town of Ear Falls is nearby on HWY.105, about 4.8 kms.(3 miles), to the north and is a bustling community with a population of 1153.It is considered to be North America's Bald Eagle Capitol.
There are many things to do in the area if you ever get tired of fishing. How about a round of golf at the 9 hole, par 36 course. Visit the hydro-electric dam on the English River. You will never be bored.
