We believe that the preferred mode of transportation would be by ARGO as it is amphibious and you can cross pretty well any type of water crossing you may encounter.

THERE ARE old timber forest roads / trails made when timber was harvested on the Crown lands.

These old timber forest roads / trails go through Crown Lands so you will always have access to your property.

Some of these old timber forest roads / trails are more recent than others and there are a couple of ways to get to this property.

They would be accessible by vehicle to within less of a kilometer by vehicle and the last 900 meters or so  by ATV/ARGO in the non-winter months and certainly by snowmobile in the winter months.

The Grindstone Creek flows through the property.

The south end of the creek has been dammed by the local beavers and the pond is about 1 acre in size within the property.

About another 4 acres of pond south of the property line.

Grindstone Creek is known to locals as a good Speckle Trout Creek.

The creek averages anywhere from 10-20 feet wide and apparently it runs year round.

The closest community to this property is the Town of Matheson, Ontario.

Black River-Matheson is located in the heart of Northeastern Ontario. The Township consists of four main town sites: Matheson, Ramore, Holtyre and Val Gagne. Matheson is the largest and lies approximately 56 kilometers northwest of Kirkland Lake, 65 kilometers east of Timmins city core and 320 kilometers north of North Bay. Matheson.

Major arterial highways serving the region:

Highway 101 runs west-east through Black River–Matheson and links to Iroquois Falls at Highway 11.

The nearest four lane highway is Highway 400 near Parry Sound. It is approximately 459 km from Black River-Matheson and runs northwest to southeast into Toronto.

You can do your daily shopping in Matheson and for major shopping just head to the nearby City of Timmins.
