There used to be an old homestead here at one time but over the years the old buildings were torn down and removed.
With the help of a neighbour we did find the location of the old dug well and we have marked this location with fluorescent flagging tape so if you are walking around the property please make note of this.
The old dug well appears to have collapsed into itself but you just never know.
The old well is located near the corner of Nahma Road and Dwight Road (the NORTHEAST CORNER).
The original driveway entrance has long been gone so a new one would have to be installed by the new owner.
From the aerial photos we can see where the old hay fields were on the front half of the property.
The front half is higher than the rear half of the property.
The rear half appears to be wet at certain times of the year.
The big game would tend to remain in the lower half of the property because it is wetter at times.
The Cochrane area is a nice area to live in.
The people are friendly.
Everything is close by.
