You could also use this creek to draw water from.  Otherwise, you can dig or drill a well.

Septic:

You will need to apply for a permit to install a septic tank/field.

Otherwise, you can install an outhouse or bring a compost toilet.

A review of the Wildlife Management Unit maps shows the following

The portion of the property on the west side of Grindstone Creek is in WMU 29.

The portion of the property on the east side of Grindstone Creek is in WMU 28.

PRIME HUNTING AREA with plenty of bear and moose in this area.

Hunt for small game like grouse and a couple of rabbits.

Don’t forget that you can also hunt on the Crown Lands and explore and ATV on any trails on the crown lands.

 

SHOPPING

The closest community to this property is the Town of Matheson, Ontario.

Black River-Matheson is located in the heart of Northeastern Ontario. The Township consists of four main town sites: Matheson, Ramore, Holtyre and Val Gagne. Matheson is the largest and lies approximately 56 kilometers northwest of Kirkland Lake, 65 kilometers east of Timmins city core and 320 kilometers north of North Bay. Matheson.

Major arterial highways serving the region:

Highway 101 runs west-east through Black River–Matheson and links to Iroquois Falls at Highway 11.

The nearest four lane highway is Highway 400 near Parry Sound. It is approximately 459 km from Black River-Matheson and runs northwest to southeast into Toronto.

You can do your daily shopping in Matheson and for major shopping just head to the nearby City of Timmins.
