The community of Pinewood is about 20 kilometers or 12.4 miles east of the Town of Rainy River, Ontario and Baudette, Minnesota.

From Stratton it is 8.2 kilometers or 8.7 miles to the property.

Penny Road is a Township maintained road that is open year round and is plowed in winter by the Township.
ABOUT THE PROPERTY
About two thirds of the property is wooded and dry.
There are remnants of some old fields towards the middle of the property and there are old trails that go to the south end of the property.
This would be a nice area to homestead on.
We checked Google Earth aerials back to 2004 and they are basically the same as the ones from 2014.
Very little change except that the trees are 10 years taller.
This owner has owned the property since 2004 and during that time has not harvested any timber.
About one third of the property is lower and at times can be wet.
This is where the white tail deer like to locate in and along the tree line.
A solar farm is situated to the left (west) of this property.
Who knows if there may be potential to also place a solar from on this property.
ELECTRICAL POWER
Electrical power is available to be brought into the property.
The power line poles are all on the south side of Penny Road in front of this property.
If you want to tie into the Grid then bring the power into your property if not then you don’t have to.
