We have a 50 acre PRIME HUNTING PROPERTY that is only about 15 minutes north of the Town of Bala, Ontario.
You can use this property as a home base for prime hunting and then go fishing on the local lakes.
This is a long rectangular property that has about 619 feet of frontage and about 788 feet at the rear of the property.
The west side of the property is about 3,259 feet deep and the east side is also about 3,259 feet deep.
The front portion of the property is a little higher than the center portion.
Depending on the time of year and how much snow accumulated over the winter and the snow melt plus the amount of rain in the spring and summer will determine how big some of the ponds on the property will get.
One pond near the top portion of the property last year got about 10 acres in size and it looked like a small lake (see the pictures).
If it’s a dry year then the ponds will get smaller and may dry up.
Regardless the ponds attract the local wildlife and big game.
The ponds also attract the waterfowl in the spring and fall.

Bala, Muskoka which is the hot spot in Muskoka, Ontario is near to this property.
About a two-hour drive north of Toronto, Muskoka makes up the eastern portion of Ontario’s iconic cottage country.

ACCESS TO THE PROPERTY
You can easily drive from the Town of Bala right to the seasonal trail that starts at the Camp Jackson Road.
When you get to the trail then you can place your truck in 4 x 4 mode and then slowly and carefully drive about 530 meters to the southwest corner of the property.
Then just follow the trail west to the other corner of the property which is about 188 meters or 619 feet away.

Open Space Area
7.2.1 Definition
The area designated as Open Space is characterized by large undeveloped tracts of land with no public road access. Much of this area is crown land. The predominant uses both on the crown land and on the large tracts of private land are conservation, open space recreation and resource based uses. The Open Space area is designated on Schedule F.
7.2.2 Principles
The land classified as Open Space area is in a natural state. Its pristine nature is of value to the Township in providing a reserve of natural areas and a land base for land extensive recreation activities. It is important that all open space connections and corridors be preserved.
7.2.4 Development Policies
The municipality will not extend services to the undeveloped areas. No new lot creation is permitted in the Open Space area designation except for resource related uses other than agriculture.

The uses permitted in the Open Space area will be restricted to resource related, agricultural, conservation and open space recreational uses.
Hunt camps will be allowed.
