Please Note: The fact that the trees are reserved to the Crown is not really a big deal.
You are allowed to use the wood for your own uses, for example: firewood, you wouldn’t cut down a live tree, but you would cut down a dead or dying tree for firewood.
If you wanted to harvest the trees to sell, then just get a permit from the MNR and pay them a stumpage fee or royalty on the trees you harvest.

You can hunt on your property or the thousands of acres of Crown Land that neighbors the property and then go fishing in Craft Creek that flows through the property.

THE TERRAIN
A review of the contour maps indicates that the area near the creek is marshy.
The center of the property is flat and dry, this area is just over half the total area of the property.
ZONING
A review of the Zoning By-Law shows that the property is zoned RDRU (RURAL).
This designation allows the construction of a hunt camp no bigger than 500 square feet,
That means that you can build a hunt cabin 20' x 25'.
Definition of Camp (Hunt Camp, Fishing Camp, Back Country Camp) as per the zoning by-law
Means a building or structure having a floor area of up to 46.5 m2 [ 500 ft. 2], including
any livable basement area, located in a rural area intended to provide basic shelter
and accommodation on a temporary basis for persons engaged in such activities as
hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, hiking or other similar forms of recreation but does
not include a seasonal dwelling.
BLUEBERRY COUNTRY
Because this area is mostly sand and gravel it is prime blueberry country.
Blueberries everywhere we looked and wild raspberries.
