The old fields are good areas to place some stands or blinds to keep an eye out for those deer.

Private landowners abuts the property to the west, the south and the east.

The SPRUCE ISLANDS NATURE PRESERVE is very near to this property.

You can enjoy good Whitetail Deer Hunting with abundant deer on your own property and the adjacent Crown Lands and know that because of access this would be a low pressure hunting area.

 

HOW TO GET TO THIS PROPERTY

Access to the property is via an ATV trail that goes along a road allowance.

This way, no one can deny you access to your property.

The trail goes along the road allowance and then cuts off into Crown Land and then to the property.

Once you park your vehicle you can ATV or ARGO your way to the property in about a 15 minute slow ride.

Enjoy the ride and the scenery.

THE TREES

The mature wood was harvested between 15-20 years ago.

Basically any trees with a stump under 6 inches would have been left and today those trees are 15-20 years older and taller.

Any new growth from the time of harvest is now 15-20 years old and tall.

The primary trees on this property are Poplar Trees, Balsam Trees and Spruce Trees.

This property is completely OFF THE GRID.

When you want to build you will either bring materials in by ATV with a trailer or snowmobile materials on a sled in winter.

You don’t require a building permit as this is an unorganized township.

There is no size restriction.

You don’t require a permit for an outhouse or a composting toilet.

This property is in Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 10.

Whitetail Deer are numerous in the Rainy River District of Northwestern Ontario.

Ontario's deer herd is world class.
