This is a real neat property that would make a very nice investment for the future.

It is located in Ashmore Township which is within the Municipality of Greenstone.

Therefore Ashmore Township is an ORGANIZED TOWNSHIP.

The Town of Geraldton is also within the boundary of the Municipality of Greenstone.

This property is really just on the eastern outskirts of the Town of Geraldton.

Greenstone is located along the HIghway 11 corridor about 281 kilometers northeast of Thunder Bay.

In our opinion this property is a very good investment as a hunting property, a recreational property and an investment for much higher future property values.

LIKE TO HUNT?

Located in the heart of northern Ontario and situated over 3000 kilometres of boreal wilderness, the Municipality of Greenstone offers hunters excellent remote opportunities to archery and rifle hunt.

The most popular large game species you can hunt is moose and black bear.

Northwestern Ontario has two color phases of Ruffed Grouse; Rust and Grey, as well as Spruce Grouse.

these Grouse live in all natural habitat consisting of a mixed forest of Aspen, Spruce and Birch trees, and tend to roost in evergreens in the Fall and Winter months.

The Geraldton area  is designated as having the highest and most consistent population of Grouse in Ontario by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

If you like to hunt waterfowl you will find that there is also an overpopulation of ducks and seasonal geese that will make you very happy.

LIKE TO FISH?

You will find great fishing in the Geraldton–Longlac area of Greenstone.

One of the region’s more popular lakes is Kenogamisis Lake home ot the Geraldton Walleye Classic held each year in June.

There are a variety of lakes and rivers in the Geraldton/Longlac area that offer world class angling opportunities for northern pike, brook trout, lake trout, perch and small mouth bass.

Many great lakes are drive to destinations, but there are fly in opportunities as well.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE GERALTON AREA?

There are a lot of exciting things happening in the Geralton area.

How about a new GOLD MINE?

“Greenstone Gold Mines is proposing to build, operate and eventually decommission an open pit gold mine located approximately five kilometres south of Geraldton, Ontario, at the intersection of Highway 11 and Michael Power Boulevard.

On June 17, 2021 the  Northern Ontario Business news report said the following;

While Equinox Gold hasn't made a mine construction decision – expected to be announced some time this year – early site prep work started in March with tree clearing contracts awarded.

When Equinox Gold officially gives the word to commence construction, the Greenstone Gold Mine will employ, on average, 550 people over the three-year build and employ 450 miners when in operation.

The Greenstone mine project is a 60-40 development partnership between Equinox Gold and Orion MIne Finance Group.

Estimated to have a 15-year mine life based on its more than 5.5-million-ounce reserve, the proposed $1.3-billion mine stands to be an economic boon for both the town of Geraldton and nearby First Nations.

The mine project is a fully permitted 'shovel-ready' mine project with a mine closure plan in place and consent from area First Nations.”

THAT IS EXCITING NEWS!!
