The picturesque scenery you will see in this area and on this property will leave you breathless.

Here is an opportunity to have your very own huge private hunting ground.

This area has abundant wildlife such as moose and black bear, wolves and small game.

With this property having 1,455.31 acres, you would have enough for a rather larger hunting party and still not bump into each other.

You can find this property in McGarry Township in beautiful northeastern Ontario near the Quebec border.

McGarry township is an organized township in the District of Timiskaming and east of the Town of Kirkland Lake.

The property is located 20 minutes north of Virginiatown, in Northeastern Ont.

This property is comprised of 33 mining claims, and is patented private land.

The property encompasses a total of 1,455.31 ACRES of land.

From the east side of the property to the west side of the property it is a distance of about 3.96 kilometers or 2.46 miles.

This is not leased or Crown land.

This property has a very diversified terrain.

From low-lying sections, where the moose and seasonal waterfowl love to hang out, to high ground with rock outcroppings.

From the topographic maps it notes an elevation from 310 meters in the northern sections to 350 meters along the south.

That is a difference of 40 meters or about 131 feet.

This property is dense with mature trees.

Predominate trees are Spruce Trees and Poplar Trees with a small mix of Birch Trees and some Cedar Trees.

PLEASE NOTE: the property pictures we have in this story are mostly of the portion of the property south of the railway tracks.

Hunting in this area of Northeastern Ontario is a way of life.

This is rugged landscape near thousands of acres of Crown Land.

It is complete with mixed hardwood, streams, swamps and mountainous areas.

Hunters know, that this combination of landscape is bound to have moose, bears, and small game such as rabbits and partridge lurking in this lush and rugged forestry!

You can just imagine being in a tree stand breathing in the cool crisp air, as the Fall Season colours the trees for as far as you can see.

Black Bears are Attracted to Northern Ontario's Diverse Landscape and It is no wonder that Ontario has one of the largest black bear populations in North America!

Black Bears enjoy the abundance of blueberries, raspberries and other assorted fruits and nuts found in the Northern Ontario regions that gets them through the winter.

The  fresh water creeks and ponds offer them plenty to drink and a great place to cool down, and the dense forest provides tall trees to hide their cubs from danger.

The property is in WMU 28

There are over forty fresh water lakes surrounding the area starting with the huge LARDER LAKE!

If you enjoy fishing, this is definitely the area to be in!

You will love winter in this area, especially when ice fishing season starts.

When ice fishing season opens, the Pickerel, Pike and Lake Trout are anxiously waiting for the anglers.

They have not seen bait for awhile, and are quickly tempted!

Fish the big LARDER LAKE as some locals refer to it as "An Anglers Paradise".

Northern Ontario is a Snowmobilers Playground!

Just imagine the average snowfall in theMcGarry /Larder Lake Townships is over 9 feet of snow!

The mineral and tree rights are with the Crown.

There are many thousands of acres of Crown lands that abut this property (see Crown Lands map).
