WHERE IS THIS PROPERTY

This property is in Nansen Township.

Nansen Township is within the boundary of the Municipality of The Township of Moonbeam.

Nansen Township is AN ORGANIZED TOWNSHIP.

Moonbeam is located on Highway 11 in the Cochrane District of Northeastern Ontario.

It is located between the Town of Kapuskasing, Ontario about 22 kilometers to the west and the Town of Smooth Rock Falls which is about 41 kilometers to the east.

It is known for its roadside flying saucer.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The mature trees were harvested around 2008-2010 so the new growth is now 11 to 13 years old.

The property is mostly level ground with some slight rolling terrain.

It appears that there is a little bit of low area at the extreme south end of the property.

When the mature trees were harvested back in 2008-2010 the harvesting was done as a winter cut so the timber contractor would have made a winter ice or snow road so that the logging trucks could get into the property to be loaded.

In spring when the ice and snow melted what remained was a roadway that was quite packed down and was very suitable for an ATV or an ARGO to get pretty well into most of the property.

Today you can actually see the tracks left by the ATV’s and with time and some hard work and money you could most likely bring the trail up to a standard where you could drive a truck into most of the property.

If you were a hunter then you would probably place tree stands along this trail and you would probably get your game.

THE BENEFITS OF COUNTRY LIVING

You look out your window every morning to see what people from the city drive many kilometers for to enjoy.

Peace and quiet. Real quiet.

Stars. Many, many stars.

Inhale. No really. You won’t smell garbage. Inhale!

Fresh air, blue skies, and way healthier living.

Locking your doors is entirely optional.

WHAT TO DO ON THIS PROPERTY AND IN THE AREA

There is so much to do in this area.

Recreational activities change with the seasons.

Summer calls for swimming, fishing and wild berry picking;

Autumn leads families into the woods for small and large game hunting;

Winter weekends are spent ice-fishing, snowmobile riding, cross country skiing and downhill skiing.

In addition to forest operations, this area and community also benefits from the advantages of a developing tourist town.

In Moonbeam, two worlds live side by side: the rural life and the northern forest with its lakes and rivers.

This reality gives a particular quality to life which is envied by many.
