The property is forested with second growth of a mix of trees including Poplar, Birch, Spruce and Cedar trees.

SHORELINE

This is typical Northern Ontario lakefront with trees down to the lake waterline.

Rocky shoreline and some areas of the shoreline on the property are sandy.

There are some very nice higher rocky points that give you an incredible view down and across the lake.

 

The  property is irregular in shape and contour maps indicate that the property is of rolling type of terrain throughout the property with a swampy section on the southerly portion of the property.

ACCESS

The owner is constructing a road that will take you into the property and to the point of land at the northern portion of the property.

In winter the road is not plowed so that you would either have to plow the road yourself or use a snowmobile.

 

UNORGANIZED

This property is located in AN UNORGANIZED AREA so you don’t require a building permit to build whatever you want to build and there is no official plane here so there are no limitations as to what you can build or how big or small or how many buildings you can build.

We have a photocopy of an original survey dated 1985.

WHERE IS THIS LAKE?    

Bad Vermilion Lake is located about 45 miles east of Fort Frances or 72 kilometers east from Fort Frances, in Rainy River District, in the northwestern part of the province of Ontario, Canada.

Fort Frances, located in Ontario has a population of 8,100 people. The next largest community is International Falls located in the USA in the State of Minnesota It is located across the river from Fort Frances and has a population of 5,900 people.

ABOUT BAD VERMILLION LAKE

Bad Vermillion Lake is a big lake.

Bad Vermillion is approximately 7 miles long and is a very deep and clear Lake.

LIKE TO FISH?

According to the MNR (Ministry Of Natural Resources) the predominate fish species in this lake are WALLEYE, LAKE TROUT, SMALLMOUTH BASS and NORTHERN PIKE.

You will also catch Lake Whitefish, Yellow Perch and Burbot.

LIKE TO HUNT?

This property is in Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) 11A which is on the South side of Highway 11.

9B and 12B are both very close on the north side of Highway 11.
