Take the trail on the Hydro line right of way and drive for 1.4 kilometers.
At this point there is a driveway entrance that takes you to the cabin.
MALONE LAKE is just south of the property.
There is a trail that goes to Malone Lake and it is a short 292 meter or 950 foot walk or ATV ride.
Looking at the aerial photo’s you can see the trail and where people place their boats into the water.
A review of the MNR “Fish-On-Line” web site shows that Malone Lake has Northern Pike and Yellow Perch within it’s waters.
It is in Fisheries Management Zone 8.
Malone Lake has a surface area of 23.3 Hectares or about 57 acres.
It has a maximum depth of 3.4 meters or about 12 feet.
It has an average depth of 2.1 meters or about 7 feet
Some locals have stated that they have caught walleye in the lake but we cannot confirm that.

The area of the township is 229.65 km2 (88.67 sq miles and includes the geographic townships of Hearst, McVittie and Skead.
Therefore, McVittie Township is AN ORGANIZED TOWNSHIP.
Major airports are located in the Larger City of Timmins is 167 kilometers or 103 miles to the northwest and the City of North Bay which is about 234 kilometers or 143 miles to the south of Larder Lake.
Once you fly into either of those two cities then rent a vehicle and drive to Larder Lake on a paved highway.
